Glory Active began when an all-American woman had a hopeful dream for a premium activewear brand to wear that would proudly support her Christian faith in her everyday active lifestyle. God pushed this woman to step outside of her comfort zone to turn her hope, dream and passion into a reality in 2017.

Move over, lululemon. There is a new kid on the block. This Belhaven University graduate and soccer star launched her own line of activewear seven months ago. With a mission to make the BEST possible active lifestyle apparel in the most God-honoring and glorifying way possible, Joanna sees in hindsight God’s hand all over the formation of her business.

 

As a competitive collegiate athlete, she had long dreamed of a job in a sports apparel company where she could build relationships and also share her faith. She calls it “a dream that just kept percolating in my head.” But it was simply a dream on the shelf.

 

She worked in imprinted apparel and product including eight years in combined corporate and retail management, sales, and e-commerce handling multi-million dollar accounts. When heartbreak and a job loss shattered her comfortable career, she sat down, took stock of her passions and her abilities, and spent some serious time asking God to show her how to put her life back together.

 

“God has been stretching me like a good pair of leggings,” she says. “Nothing has ever been accomplished without great risk! Seven months post-launch, trusting God in his guidance, here we are!”
