Vital Care Pharmacy, located in the heart of Meridian, Miss., has been known for their caring environment and passion for patients for over 25 years.

At Vital Care of Meridian, they do far more than simply fill prescriptions. Independently owned and focusing on serving complex medical needs with their team of experienced pharmacists and nurses, Vital Care believes achieving the best outcomes for its patients comes from a foundation of trust, communication, and a commitment to delivering high-touch, quality care.

“Vital Care has provided high-quality, patient-centered services for over 25 years,” said Jonathan Bell, owner and president of Vital Care of Meridian. “We strive to meet the individual needs and improve the well-being of each patient we serve. We are thankful for the many patients who have trusted Vital Care to provide the care they expect and deserve.”

With the motto, “Tailored therapy. Trusted care,” Vital Care reminds those in the community of the foundational beliefs that support its patient services. They measure their success by the outcome of their patients, the satisfaction of their partners, and the effectiveness of their relationships with providers.

Your comfort is their top concern. The downtown Meridian office provides a welcoming, down-home environment, which helps put you at ease while the friendly, professional staff serves you.

Vital Care of Meridian is so much more than just a pharmacy. For more than 25 years, it has been serving the Meridian community with a home infusion pharmacy, ambulatory infusion suites, compounding pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, and respiratory home medical equipment.

Home infusion therapy is the administration of medication directly into a vein. This type of therapy can be easily administered in your home, and it is a safe and effective alternative to being cared for in the hospital. With the help of Vital Care, this form of treatment allows many patients to continue their day-to-day activities. Research has even proven patients experience better outcomes when a skilled team of specialists provides home care.

The Vital Care of Meridian team understands not all patients can have their infusion therapy delivered in the comfort of their home, but the Vital Care staff wants to make sure these patients have the most comfortable experience possible. The experienced team of registered infusion nurses and pharmacists provide high-quality, patient-friendly care, which has increased positive results.

Has your doctor ever written you a prescription you discovered had been discontinued or had an ingredient you were allergic to? Considered a “problem-solving” pharmacy, Vital Care works with many local physicians to prepare a final product—known as compounded medications—for each individual patient based on their specific needs. Vital Care was the first PCAB-accredited pharmacy in Mississippi and remains the only compounding pharmacy in the Meridian community.

Vital Care Rx is the specialty pharmacy division of Vital Care of Meridian that brings high quality, patient-focused care to complex medical conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, hepatitis C, psoriasis, Crohn’s disease, immune deficiencies, hemophilia, cancer and others. Its team of pharmacists, nurses, and pharmacy technicians are passionate about its patients care, and they go the extra mile to make sure each patient has everything they need to be successful with their therapy.

Also known for its respiratory services, Vital Care provides exceptional care to people of all ages with services to make life easier. They offer CPAP or BiPAP devices, oxygen therapy, and nebulizer equipment and supplies. Vital Care devotedly trains each patient on their equipment and takes the time to make sure they have all the supplies needed for their treatment. Their reimbursement specialists can help verify insurance benefits for you ahead of time, giving you one less thing to worry about.

At Vital Care, they take an eager approach in helping physician’s offices lessen their paperwork and provide assistance in caring for patients. The pharmacy continues to work with physician’s offices from the first day to the last day of the patient therapy. The clinical staff regularly calls each patient to help ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes.

Vital Care is proud to say they invest in the next generation of pharmacists. This is obvious from the second floor of the Vital Care of Meridian office—two fully furnished apartments, free of charge for Doctor of Pharmacy students from the University of Mississippi, Samford University, and Auburn University. These pharmacy students are on five-to-seven week clinical practice rotations with Vital Care of Meridian in order to complete their introductory or advanced pharmacy practice experiences.

More than just products and services, Vital Care helps deliver peace of mind. The team members provide exceptional care to patients of all ages with one ultimate goal in mind—a healthier you.
