Kids dancing at Amplify Joy Studio

Whether you want to dip your toe into the arts yourself, give your child the chance to develop a new passion, or simply enjoy the rich artistic outpouring of the Magnolia State, here are just a few Mississippi artists and arts organizations making our state more beautiful.

Amplify Joy Studio, Flora

Amplify Joy Studio

Mandy King’s experience teaching and choreographing for various studios, schools, programs, and competitive groups shaped her belief that dance is about more than technique — it’s about growth, confidence, and the unique stories each dancer carries. One of our core intentions at Amplify Joy Studio is to help create legacies within each child, empowering them to discover who they are, what they love, and how they were created to shine. Here, dancers of all ages will find encouragement, challenge, and a place to belong.

Amplify Joy is a welcoming environment where dancers can learn, explore, and express themselves freely. We serve dancers from 18 months to 100+, in all levels and genres. Our studio celebrates movement, nurtures the heart, and inspires joy every step of the way. More than a place to train, it is a community where meaningful connections are formed. Stop in today and see how we can serve you and your dancer!

McTaggart Fine Art, Flora

McTaggart Fine Art

At McTaggart Fine Art, our goal is to provide a professional, well‑curated space where Mississippi artists can showcase their work. Located on Main Street in Flora, our gallery features a rotating selection of original paintings, mixed‑media pieces, and contemporary works from both emerging and established regional artists. We focus on representing high‑quality, Mississippi‑made art and connecting collectors with pieces that reflect the talent found across our state.

Owner Sarah McTaggart oversees all curation and artist relationships. Under her direction, the gallery maintains a consistent standard of craftsmanship and originality. We regularly update our exhibitions, highlight new artists, and participate in community arts events. In addition to exhibitions, we offer services such as artwork placement assistance, private viewings, and consultations for individuals or businesses interested in building or expanding their art collections.

Our goal is to make the process of discovering and purchasing original art straightforward and enjoyable. This July, we are pleased that Mandy Ellard, one of the artists represented in our gallery, is featured as one of the cover artists for Mississippi Christian Living. Her inclusion reflects the caliber of work we strive to bring to the public.

We invite you to stop by, linger for a while, and experience the creativity flourishing in our community. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or simply curious, we’d love to welcome you in. At McTaggart Fine Art, we believe art should inspire, uplift, and bring people together. It’s our joy to help make that happen.

Through art, devotion, life-skills training, and meaningful daily activities, Seedsters are encouraged to discover their talents, build lasting friendships, and gain confidence and independence.
