Love Does and Everybody Always
By Bob Goff

There are religious people, and then there are Christ Followers. The latter love others because Jesus loved them first, and they have figured out that in order to tell someone about Jesus, it’s probably a good idea to meet them right where they are and build a relationship. Bob Goff calls himself “a recovering lawyer,” but he became a New York Times Bestselling author by telling the extraordinary true stories about how that particular idea played in his life.

I cannot recommend his books highly enough! I bought both books on a Friday afternoon and could not put them down until I read every word. Pure delight. Easy reading and profound lessons. From teenager to old-ager, Love Does and Everybody Always, are books you want on your bookshelf!

A little about Bob from the back cover of Love Does: “As a college student he spent sixteen days in the Pacific Ocean with five guys and a crate of canned meat. As a father, he took his kids on a world tour to eat ice cream with heads of state. He made friends in Uganda, and they liked him so much he became the Ugandan consul. He pursued his wife for three years before she agreed to date him. His grades weren’t good enough to get into law school, so he sat on a bench outside the dean’s office for seven days until they finally let him enroll.”

The second book, Everybody Always, follows the same format as the previous book. Its message is also simple but will require several lifetimes to master. “Love people, even the difficult ones, without distinction and without limits.”

Bob’s stories are filled with the three Ws: Wit, Whimsy, and Wisdom. Go buy both of them. You will thank me.
