The Power of God’s Names
By Tony Evans
I’ve been a fan of Dr. Tony Evans’ radio broadcast for a long time, but this is my first time to read him in print. His down-to-earth teaching style is so easy to follow, and he has taken the many hard-to-pronounce Hebrew names of God and revealed in very simple terms multiple facets of His infinite eternal character. Dr. Evans has the gift of being able to take something complex and put it out there in a way that is understandable and memorable—not that some of us are memory-challenged and estrogen-deprived! I am so enjoying this book.
One of my favorite summer small groups is studying the DVD and workbook version of the book, and I cannot recommend it highly enough for several reasons. It nurtures a closer relationship with our amazing Father, and its daily readings are rich in content but not overwhelming in terms of time. Most women I know struggle with the time monster!
Whether you just read the book or round up a few friends and do the workbook and DVD series, I promise you will not be disappointed. This study will enhance your sense of confidence that as out of control as this old world seems to be, He’s still holding it in His Big Hands!
